La Poste-Temu agreement : what you need to know

On October 15, 2025, Temu officially announced the signing of an agreement with La Poste. This agreement is a classic commercial partnership for logistics services. La Poste has been delivering Temu parcels since its arrival in France in 2023.

The agreement signed with Temu is a ‘classic’ logistics services agreement that extends for three years a collaboration that has been in place since Temu's arrival in France in 2023.

La Poste is a universal parcel operator, serving individuals, small and very large e-merchants, regardless of their size or nationality.

La Poste is obliged to treat all its customers equally, with the same general terms and conditions of sale. As such, it cannot refuse access to its services, which would be considered a ‘refusal to sell’.

This contract does not promote the arrival of Chinese goods in France

La Poste does not contribute to the increase in Chinese goods in France.

Chinese e-retailers export these goods on a massive scale every day by cargo plane and ship, in entire containers.

La Poste therefore handles parcels that have already arrived on French territory to ensure their last-mile delivery to the consumers who ordered them.

Why is delivering these parcels vital for La Poste?

More than half of all parcels in France are delivered by La Poste's competitors, such as Mondial Relay, Amazon, Colis Privé, and, for the past year, Chinese logistics companies that are developing their capacity to deliver parcels to French households.

80% of the growth in the parcel market is now directly driven by Asian platforms (Alibaba, Shein, Temu, etc.).

In terms of Colissimo volumes, 20% come from Chinese platforms (and 20% from Amazon).

Capturing these flows is therefore a matter of survival: they contribute to the sustainability of the La Poste group in a context of falling mail volumes and help to maintain the activity of postmen and women.
