La Poste has just been reappointed as the Universal Postal Service provider for a period of 10 years from 1 January 2026. La Poste was first appointed to this role in 2011 for a period of 15 years, which will end on 31 December 2025. This renewal demonstrates La Poste's unique ability to guarantee the best access to postal services for all citizens over the long term.

On July 30, 2025, the United States of America adopted the executive order 14324 which deeply changes customs procedures for goods shipped to the U.S.A. As from August 29, items containing goods previously exempted from customs duties under the $800 de minimis threshold will now be subject to customs duties from the very first dollar. These duties shall be paid to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency prior to the arrival of before goods in the U.S.A soil.

On July 30, 2025, the United States of America adopted the Executive Order 14324 which deeply changes customs procedures for goods shipped to the United States of America. Following an initial press release dated on August 20, and given that the technical specifications and implementation details remain incomplete — combined with an extremely short timeframe for preparation — La Poste confirms that it is compelled to temporarily suspend parcel shipments to the United States of America, effective August 25.
