Disability, incapacity, or chronic illness — La Poste Groupe is committed to promoting employment and career development for all, and to changing perceptions, convinced that differences lead to performance.

La Poste is the leading employer of people with disabilities in France, with over 14,000 postal workers with disabilities, representing an employment rate of 9.76% in 2024.

A New Agreement Based on Five Commitments

Signed in December 2025, the 9th agreement in support of employing people with disabilities further strengthens the Group’s commitment. Concluded for the 2026–2027 period, this agreement renews the policies already in place and enhances them through five commitments :

  • Successfully transition to the common regulatory framework ;

  • Remain a benchmark for the inclusion of people with disabilities and contribute to the company’s long‑term performance ;

  • Support people with disabilities who have a chronic illness, particularly those with psychological disabilities ;

  • Expand our initiatives to ensure continued employment—within or outside the company—for people with disabilities ;

  • Contribute to an inclusive society by supporting the commitments of a mission‑driven company.

As the leading employer of people with disabilities in France, La Poste reaffirms its commitment to proper integration, quality of life at work, job retention, and the career development of postal workers with disabilities."

Valérie Decaux,

Deputy CEO in charge of Human Resources at La Poste Groupe

Among the key measures of this agreement, job retention is prioritized as soon as a situation of unfitness for the position is identified; and new rules for covering disability‑related expenses are introduced (workplace adaptations and personal assistance).
